READING - Forbury - Spanish Civil War

The Memorial (WM5493) to three men from Reading who lost their lives fighting for the Nationalists in the Spanish Civil War was designed by Eric Stanford and originally sited on Dusseldorf Way just outside the Civic Centre. When this was due for demolition in 2015 it was moved to Forbury Gardens.
