Berkshire War Memorials
The Nile Campaign was marked by the Battle of Tofrek, 22nd March 1885, when the 1st Berkshire Regiment (formerly the 49th Foot) gained its 'Royal' Soubriqet losing 21 men killed and 33 wounded.

The memorial however commemorates the action at Ginnes on the 30th December 1885
