Berkshire War Memorials

READING - All Saints Church

All Saints Church is located on Downshire Square but the door is on Brownlow Avenue off the Tilehurst Road. The church dates from the mid 1800s and was consecrated in 1865. It is a typical Gothic-revival church designed by Piers St Aubyn.

WW1 Memorial (WM5121)

The memorial is an ornately carved tablet with carved text. It bears 46 names for the Great War with regiments. It had the dates 1939-1945 added but no World War Two names. ( photo Tony Pretlove)
