READING - Battle Hospital

Battle Hospital was located on Oxford Road

It was a major War Hospital in WW1 but all that remains of it today is an entrance arch.

Challis Memorial (WM6008)

The memorial is located on the left hand wall of the arch as you enter from the Oxford Road


To A Challis who is believed to have been one of the Guardians of the original workhouse
