Berkshire War Memorials
Reading's old municipal cemetery is located between the Wokingham and London Roads at Cemetery Junction in the east of the town.
CWGC Memorial Garden (WM5133)
The easternmost corner (adjoining Wokingham Road) hosts a small CWGC Memorial Garden (WM5133) with a Cross of Sacrifice and memorials to men who died in Reading as a result of action in WW1.
No headstones memorial (WM5514)
In the CWGC enclosure there is a memorial to men who are buried in the cemetery but who do not have headstones
There are 205 WW1, 41 WW2 and one Serbian CWGC burials in the cemetery (WM4013)
The cemetery was closed and a new municipal cemetery and crematorium provided at Henley Road
